Mahmudullah Riyad Retires After Shakib Bids Farewell to International T20

After Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladeshi star Mahmudullah Riyad announced his retirement from international T-20 cricket. Mahmudullah Riyad’s message at a press conference in Delhi

The press conference was held at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium today where Mahmudullah Riyad announced his retirement from international T20 cricket. The conference started today with a strange incident at the press conference. At the beginning, the conference mic was not working when Mahmudullah Riyad spoke. Later, Mahmudullah was looking around at My Co operators. Later, the operators came and decided that Mahmudullah replied to the journalist without a microphone. And just after that, when the mic was right, he said that his 17-year long international cricket career will end here, ending his international T20 match. Mahmudullah Riyad said, “When I practiced for India, I thought that it is not the right time to retire from international T20 cricket and focus only on ODIs, and when I discussed this with the family, they said now is not the right time, but I think it is the right time.” And in this regard, the decision was taken by discussing with the Bangladesh Cricket Board Selector Board President and everyone under the boot. And did everyone respect my decision.

Mahmudullah Riyad’s decision to retire began when he was training for India from Mirpur and then thought he would retire from T20 Internationals. And regarding his departure, reporters asked if he wants to leave Bangladesh, Mahmudullah Riyad said that Bangladesh’s T20I series is too late and he does not want to be late, so this decision is going to be his last T20 match in Delhi on Saturday.

Mahmudullah’s achievements in cricket

When reporters asked Mahmudullah Riyad about his most disappointing time, he said that it was a disappointing time in Bangalore in 2016 and when asked about his best time, Mahmudullah Riyad mentioned his innings of 43 runs in the Nidahas Trophy win over Sri Lanka.
